Telecommunication overhaul contributor Vodafone Essar on Tuesday launched a new mobile phone struggling at youthful folks who can directly attach with online social network site Facebook. Vodafone 555 Blue phones has been launched in India named as the Facebook phone comes with a dedicated blue colour Facebook button as glowing. Facebook phone is probable to carry reasonable pre-paid and post-paid data plans to allow users to surf, upload pictures, update status messages and chat with their Facebook friends and brings the qualities of a Smartphone jointly with social networking functions. It is priced at Rs. 4,950. Vodafone Blue has a designated “F” button that lets users upload pictures update status at a single click.
Vodafone Blue offers unlimited access to Facebook for a year from the date of its purchase. The 555 Blue phones come with a QWERTY keypad that is at ease to use just like any BlackBerry keypad. The comfortable keypad adds to the enjoyment of staying connected. The space key is bigger than the ones found on other keypad phones. The features, QWERTY keypad and dedicated Facebook key refer to the fact that its focus is on quick and easy communication. The device includes 2-megapixel camera with LED flash ads to the excitement of staying connected round the clock.
This phone comes under the category of feature phone but nevertheless solves the purpose for the Facebook devotees. It runs on a proprietary owned OS i.e. Vodafone OS. The Vodafone 555 handset is packed with 200 MediaTek processor. It comes with 40MB of internal memory and the external memory can be expanded up to 32GB. The Vodafone 555 features opera mini browser. Sporting a 2.4" screen browsing on Vodafone 555 Blue Handset is a decent experience. The device however lacks 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity.
