AT&T disputed with FCC on Merger


AT&T Inc. struggled for months with U.S. regulators to support its $39 billion possession of T-Mobile USA.

"We have every right to withdraw our merger from the FCC, and the FCC has no right to stop us, any suggestion the agency might do otherwise would be an abuse of procedure which we would immediately challenge in court."


AT&T's merger plan has faced rising challenges, as well as a Justice Department suit to block the deal and similar lawsuits from seven state attorneys general and from rivals Sprint Nextel Corp. and C Spire Wireless. The carrier needs approval from both the Justice Department, which will judge it on antitrust grounds, and the FCC, which evaluate whether amalgamations are in the best interests of the public.

AT&T is hoping to get Justice Department clearance for the merger which would hurl it to the biggest U.S. carrier by subscribers either through the trial scheduled to begin in February or an out of court decision.

AT&T also said Thursday it will receive a charge in this year's final quarter for $4 billion, a sum it may be obligated T-Mobile parent Deutsche Telekom AG if the merger fails to go through. That works out to $3 billion in fragment fees and $1 billion in expected book spectrum value.

Facebook has supposedly stated over 2 lakh hack

Facebook has supposedly stated over 2 lakh hack in Bangalore. The social networking company Facebook made the statement subsequent to porn, pictures of intense violence and faked photos of celebrities such as Justin Bieber in sexual situations had teeming the profiles of some Facebook users.

Users were tricked into pasting malware into their browsers, which in turn resulted in the sharing of offensive content, Facebook said. 
  
According to a news story in Mid Day, Two lakh Facebook users in Bangalore had their accounts hacked and web links to their morphed pornographic pictures sent as feeds to friends and family. There are around 50 posts on Facebook stating that the users are quitting the social networking site forever after being embarrassed before friends and family.



The cyber crime responsibility too is reported to have received calls and complaints concerning the bunch hacking.

BSNL special make to offer FTTH connections

The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has put for itself a goal of giving 600 to 700 Fibers to the home connections in Krishna district through special constrains. Only 11 customers had subscribed to FTTH in the district, but the number of subscribers would be improved in a special oblige.

Report: 121 million Internet users by December 2011 in India

Through growing affordability of Computers and Internet access, India is all position to have 121 million internet users by December 2011. According to the annual I Cube Report jointly published by IAMAI and IMRB, India's internet population is expected to grow to 121 million users by December 2011 from 100 million in September this year. Out of 121 million, 97 million are likely to be active Internet users, who entree Internet at least once in a month.

Black Berry undergoes Outage

The manufacturer of Black Berry phones says it's looking into an undisclosed concern touching customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Internet access and Black Berry's trendy messenger service came into view to be affected.

Nokia crafts the N9, Mee Go phone

BSNL Launches Special Apps Store


Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd has launched its exact own applications store termed the BSNL Apps Store. E-Cigarettes in Aiding Smokers Quit


A new study has evaluated the effectiveness of electronic cigarettes in helping smokers give up the habit. Interviews of more than 100 people who regularly used e-cigarettes revealed that nearly 78% said they had not used tobacco for a month.

The people interviewed had a record of smoking nearly 25 cigarettes a day. Most of them had attempted several times at kicking the habit before they began using e-cigarettes. Despite this, researchers caution against the use of e-cigarettes till more proof is available about its safety and effectiveness in helping people quit smoking. Instead, smokers who want to quit should employ better treatments like counseling and FDA-approved medicines as they are proven methods.
