BSNL outgoing calls free for OBCs in Beed

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, India’s biggest nationalized cellular operator, newly approved a plan to formulate outgoing calls free for OBCs in Beed district, Maharashtra. While BSNL hotly starved of the plan had no matter which to do with caste, political parties had mixed effect.

Vijay Joshi, SDE of BSNL in Beed, said the plan was for members of the organisation and not OBCs in particular. Vijay Joshi said, “Earlier too we have considered proposals from the barber community, Even Baba Ramdev’s followersapproached us for a CUG connection.”

The condition is the group should 6,000 members within 90 days of taking the plan. The operator has waived off the SIM card and first recharges charges. But a member within the CUG will have to deposit Rs90 every month.
