Joint Entrance Examination, IIT-JEE, Schedule on April 8, 2012.

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) are institutions of national importance established through an Act of Parliament for development excellence in education. There are fifteen IITs at present, located in Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Mandi, Mumbai, Patna, Ropar and Roorkee.

Each institute has well-equipped modern laboratories, state-of-the-art computer network and well-stocked technical library. Teaching methods rely on direct personal contact between the teachers and the students, and the use of traditional and modern instructional techniques. Students live in a pleasant and intellectually stimulating environment with people having similar goals and aspirations, which is an exciting and unique experience.

These institutions offer courses leading to Bachelor’s degree in a number of engineering, technological and scientific disciplines. Integrated M.Sc. courses in pure and applied sciences and Integrated M.Tech. courses in a few disciplines are also offered by some of these Institutions. In addition, some IITs offer Dual-Degree M.Tech. programmes, wherein both B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees are awarded.

Admission to the Undergraduate Programmes at these institutions for all Indian and Foreign nationals is made through a Joint Entrance Examination, IIT-JEE. Schedule of IIT-JEE 2012 given below. The examination will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2012.


Paper 1: 09.00 to 12.00 hrs (IST)

Paper 2: 14.00 to 17.00 hrs (IST)


The schedule will remain unchanged even if the above date is declared a public holiday.

Type of Examination

There will be two question papers, each of three hours duration. Both the question papers will consist of three part sections on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The questions will be of objective type, planned to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.

The answers for each of the questions are to be marked on a part, specifically premeditated, machine-gradable sheet of paper (Optical Response Sheet). While answering each of the questions the candidate is expected to darken the bubbles against correct answers using black ball point pen only.


During several parts, wrong answers may be awarded negative marks.

IIMs issued notification for CAT 2011

Indian Institutes of Managements will conduct CAT 2011 between Oct 22 and Nov 18, 2011 for admission to various management programmes. 
Qualification: Candidates having bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/PWDs). Candidates appearing for final year of bachelor’s degree exams and are awaiting results can also apply.
CAT 2011 registration will be available from 17 Aug to 28th Sep 2011. Common Admission Test 2011 vouchers will be available at branches of Axis Bank and their associated outlets from 17th Aug 2011 to 26 September 2011 for Rs.1600 (Rs.800 for SC/ST). On purchasing of CAT 2011 voucher, candidates must log on to the website www.catiim.in to register for CAT 2011.
CAT result will be announced on 11th Jan 2012.

NMAT 2012 Online Registration Starts


Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) has issued for NMAT 2012 notification. NMAT online registration has been started from 1st Aug 2011.NMIMS Management Aptitude Test will be conducted in a time frame of three months starting from 31st October 2011. It is allowing choice of 2 retakes to the students.

Admissions to MBA Core, MBA-Actuarial Science, MBA-Banking, MBA-Capital Market, MBA-HR and MBA-Pharmaceutical Management are through NMIMS Management Aptitude Test followed by GD / Interview. Admission will be at Mumbai campus and PGDM at Bengaluru & Hyderabad Campuses.

NMAT 2012 Online Registration will be closed on 10th Oct 2011.
For this Period, Registration charges are
Rs.1650 (For FT MBA Mumbai Campus or PGDM Programme)
Rs.2000 (For Both FT MBA & PGDM Programme)


For Late Registration, Candidates can register from 11-20 October, 2011.

AIEEE 2011Round 1 allotment list issued by CCB

All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) held every year. It is conducting with many entrance examinations that were being conducted till then by various institutes for admission to UG programmes in the fields of Engineering / Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture.

Haryana Pre Medical Test (PMT) 2011:Exam Pattern,Exam Syllabus & Eligibility Criteria

Haryana Pre Medical Test(PMT)2011 is an entrance test for admission to bachelor medical and dental courses MBBS/BDS/BAMS in the medical and dental institutes of Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak. Haryana PMT 2011 is conducted by Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak for admission in all the affiliated private and Government medical and dental colleges. Haryana PMT can only be given by the candidates having Haryana domicile.Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak conduct Haryana Pre Medical Test(PMT) 2011 for admission to the following courses: 
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)
Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Eligibility criteria:
To appear in Haryana PMT 2011 a candidate should have a Haryana domicile. A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with atleast 50% aggregate marks in PCB(40% for SC/ST/OBC).A candidate should have attained the age of 17 years but not more than 25 years. For BAMS a candidate should have also passed in Sanskrit as a core elective subject
Reservation seats :
85% for Haryana students ( Based on Haryana PMT 2011 score )
15% for other states students ( Based on AIPMT 2011 score )
Expected date of Haryana PMT 2011 exam:
Application form for Haryana Pre Medical Test (PMT) 2011 can be available from May End or in June 2nd week,2011. Exact date of Haryana Pre Medical Test (PMT) 2011 will be updated very soon.

How to Apply:
Application form for Haryana Pre Medical Test (PMT) can be obtained from the office of the Deputy Registrar, Publications Cell, M.D. University, Rohtak-124001 in person on payment of Rs. 1200/- (Rs.300/- for SC/BC candidates of Haryana only) in cash.

Application form for Haryana Pre Medical Test (PMT) form can obtained by post by sending the Draft of Rs. 1250/-(Rs. 350/- for SC/BC candidates of Haryana only) drawn in favor of the Finance Officer, M.D. University, Rohtak payable at State Bank of India, M.D. University, Rohtak.

Candidates can also download the form through the website www.mdurohtak.com should be accompanied with a bank draft drawn in favor of Finance Officer, M.D. University, Rohtak payable at Rohtak for Rs. 1200/- (Rs. 300/- for SC/BC candidates of Haryana only).



Examination Syllabus:
To prepare for Haryana Pre Medical Test (PMT) 2011 students have to study the syllabus of 10+2 level examination comprises of disciplines like Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.
 

Examination Pattern:
Medium of Entrance Examination for Haryana Pre Medical Test (PMT) will be English.The Entrance Examination shall consist of one paper of three hours duration.There will be a total of 180 objective type questions. 45 for each subject of Physics, Chemistry,Biology (Botany and Zoology).

The paper shall carry a maximum of 720 marks. For each correct response, the candidate will get full credit . Each incorrect response will be negatively marked and the candidate will get one-fourth discredit for it.
